A very important part of the Maya Civilization, this crop is sacred for many reasons. According to the sacred book of the Maya, the Popol Vuh, man was created and made out of corn. It remains to this day a significant part of the modern day Mayan and Guatemalan culture. I wanted a very rustic simple take on this sacred crop.
